About The SWWGL
The South Wales Women's & Girls' League (SWWGL) is the largest female football league in Wales with a mission to develop the game for both girls and women all across South Wales. From small beginnings the League has now expanded to over 210 teams and 3000 players.
In 2018 we won the Best Junior League award in South Wales and have previously won the FAW Grassroots Impact award for our innovative Futsal programme developed with the WFT. Over the last 2 years we developed a Clubs and Players database which enabled us to introduce electronic team sheets and improve our registration and administration processes for both Clubs and League.
The South Wales Girls League (SWGL) formed in 1994 working with the SWFA and WFT. The SWWGL formed in Jun-13 by merging the former SWGL and SWWL.
