Our Mission

To provide equal opportunities for girls and women to participate in fun, small-sided games and competitive football across South Wales while promoting physical and mental
well-being and fostering community spirit.

Our Goals

  • Increase participation across South Wales, encouraging as many girls and women as possible to play football.
  • Provide opportunities for girls and women to engage in small-sided games or competitive football.
  • Create an inclusive environment Championing Diversity: The league celebrates diversity-different backgrounds, cultures, and abilities. Whether you are from the valleys, the coast, or the city, we embrace those differences, we become stronger together.
  • Promote opportunities for girls and women on and off the pitch, supporting access to mentoring programmes whilst at university, coaching and referee courses to enhance female roles within the game. Mentorship isn't limited to the pitch. It extends to life skills-time management, resilience, teamwork, and
  • communication.

Here at the SWWGL, it is not just about goals scored; it is about the bonds formed, the laughter shared, and the sense of belonging. So lace up those boots, join the huddle or a team, and be part of something bigger—a football family that extends way beyond the pitch!
